A study from the University of Western Ontario to be published in the Journal of Consumer Researach reports that online gamblers play more frequently and aggressively that those who frequent land-based casinos. June Cotte, an associate professor of marketing at Western’s Richard Ivey School of Business, says that if there were regulations to oversee Canadian gambling operations there could also be safeguards to reduce problem gambling.
