A study published this month in the Canadian Journal of Psychiatry finds gambling is a dynamic phenomenon, with addicts falling in and out of problem gambling. Lead author Debi LaPlante, a psychiatry instructor at the Harvard Medical School, says that people move in and out of stages of worsening and improving health over time a lot more than what had been initially anticipated.
